What a Year, the Second Part
Alongside corporate events, our other most inquiries have been from event organisers using an educational setting such as a school, college or university.
We were asked to provide Anywhere Deck Chairs for a Freshers event at the University College London, one of the top ten universities in the country. This was a unique event and it was very exciting for us to get involved with the energy and excitement of those attending. Marlborough College was a stunning setting and Southampton University showed us how activities and games such as giant jenga and connect four can be used alongside the deckchairs to enhance the experience of those attending.
As the end of the summer approached, the bookings continued and we were part of the Bournemouth Air show, where clients of the Marriott hotel were able to watch the show in a stunning cliff top setting in the comfort of their very own deckchair.
The Gherkin in the city of London is a particular source of conversation in our house so we were beyond excited to be asked to provide 50 deckchairs for an NSPCC charity event in this iconic building. I’m not sure what it is about this unusual shaped building that makes us happy but it does, plus we thought this would be our last event of the year (as we were now in September) so enjoyed every minute of it.
Fortunately, it was not the last and fittingly for us enjoying our first year of business, our last professional job was in The Excel Exhibition Centre, London to celebrate MacDonald’s 40th birthday. For us as a small business to be part of such an event for a large global company celebrating longevity, it seemed a good way to sign off the year.
